Welcome Reception
The Welcome Reception will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 6 pm at Polo Congressuale, the conference venue.
Banquet
The Conference Banquet will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 8 pm at Palazzo Re Enzo, a magnificent medieval building located in Piazza Nettuno nearby Piazza Maggiore.
Musical Aperitif
Before the Conference Banquet, at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the courtyard of Palazzo Re Enzo where the Banquet will take place, a short and very informal concert will be offered by Terza Classe, a group playing folk music from the Italian tradition.
City Walk Tour
On Monday, at 7.30 pm, a city walk tour will take place leaving from Piazza del Nettuno, nearby Piazza Maggiore. A one hour guided tour across the medieval center of Bologna.
Visit to Guglielmo Marconi’s Villa
For any researcher in the field of radio communications, a visit to Villa Griffone, where Marconi lived and made his first experiments, is a must-do in life.
Villa Griffone is located about 14 Km from Bologna, on the hills. A bus will leave on Wednesday, September 12, after the afternoon coffee break, from the conference venue. The visit will take about 1h30m. You will be brought back to the city center by dinner time. All information here.
One Day to the Sea: Riccione
This tour is intended for attendee companions, or those who will not attend the conference on Monday, September 10. A bus will pick you up in the city center of Bologna and bring you to Riccione, to enjoy a day on the large beaches and possibly a nice shopping experience in Viale Ceccarini. You will be back to Bologna by dinner time. Subject to a minimum number of registrations. Deadline: September 2. More information can be found here.
